Protected area Rauher Bichl (“the rough hill”)

In 1981 the Imst City Council placed this small section land under environmental protection. The responsible communal body can henceforth name areas to be protected if they are of importance to the natural balance, the micro-scale ecosystem or the fauna and flora. The areas then become reserves through decree. This is a flexible and easily adaptable tool for putting areas under protection.
