Heaps of leaves and branches

Heaps of leaves are a good protection for the local wildlife, that is why they should not be removed. A pile of leaves are a safe place for earthworms, spiders, beetles, newts, caterpillars and moths. Moreover they are a perfect wintering ground for hedgehogs, toads and insects.

Cooperation "Biodiversity and Environmental Protection

As part of the educational initiative "Biodiversity and Environmental Education", a green lawn was transformed into a colourful, species-rich garden on this site by the pupils of the Längenfeld Primary School and Middle School Nature Park Schools.
