Guelder Rose

(Viburnum opulus)

Guelder Rose is very popular for birds, insects, bees and butterflies, as it provides good protection for being spotted by predators. Its berries are an excellent food for insects. Many insects depend on wild bushes as they visit their flowers, eat their leaves or pieces of their bark.

Cooperation "Biodiversity and Environmental Protection

As part of the educational initiative "Biodiversity and Environmental Education", a green lawn was transformed into a colourful, species-rich garden on this site by the pupils of the Längenfeld Primary School and Middle School Nature Park Schools.
